Morell Joins Penn Ridge Farms Staff

Patrick Morell has been named the new general manager at Michael Jester’s Penn Ridge Farms near Harrisburg, Penn., it was announced Nov. 11.

In the newly created position, Morell will oversee breeding operations and a new racing program at the farm.

Morell joined Penn Ridge from Tom Simon’s Vinery near Lexington, where he was stallion administrator for the past two breeding seasons. A native of Rochester, Penn., Morrell graduated from Wheeling Jesuit University.

“Our goal is to make Penn Ridge Farms a premiere breeding facility in Pennsylvania,” said Morrell.

“We are so fortunate to have Patrick join Chuck King, stallion manager and Peggy Wenger, assistant farm manager,” said Jester. “This team of talented professionals is eager to work with the wonderful Thoroughbred owners and breeders from all areas of our country.”
