Effective Jan. 1, Arthur "Archie" St. George will become a partner in Eaton Sales, one of the world’s leading Thoroughbred auction consignors. Current Eaton Sales partners Reiley McDonald, Tom VanMeter, and Gaines-Gentry Thoroughbreds cited Eaton’s strategy to employ the best in the business to most effectively market client horses.
McDonald said, “Archie has been involved in our organization for seven years and not only is he one of the best young horsemen in the country, he knows the auction game better than most people in the business. He is well liked by buyers and sellers alike, and he deserves to be a partner.”
Tom VanMeter added, “Archie will take over my day-to-day responsibilities, and we are fortunate he has chosen to make a long-term commitment to Eaton. He is tireless at horse auctions and as effective on the grounds as anybody I’ve ever seen.”
Eaton Sales also announced that Kate Cauthen, has been named its associate director of sales. ‘Katie,’ the daughter of notable horsemen Bill and Lynn Recio, possesses a lifetime of horse experience having worked in many facets of the Thoroughbred industry.
