Advance deposit wagering outlets owned by TrackNet Media, and XpressBet, as well as, will be taking bets on the upcoming 2009 Oaklawn Park racing season under an agreement announced Dec. 31.

Oaklawn Jockey Club and the Arkansas division of the Horsemen’s Benevolent and Protective Association reached agreement with the ADW providers for the 54-day live meet from Jan. 16 to April 11.

“This agreement was worked out through the outstanding efforts of Dr. Earl Bellamy, president of the HBPA in Arkansas,” said Bobby Geiger, Oaklawn gaming and wagering Director. “Our discussions were always businesslike and never contentious, which makes it a pleasure to work on an agreement like this with Dr. Bellamy.”

“TrackNet’s goal has always been to broadly distribute the content of its member racetracks,” added Scott Daruty, president and CEO of TrackNet. “Unfortunately, in the recent past various industry issues have prevented that from happening. However, we are now at a point where those issues appear to be resolved. This agreement relating to the distribution of the Oaklawn signal for account wagering is another example of how the industry is well served by broad distribution.”
