Nathan Fox's Richland Hills, Lee Einsidler's LRE Racing, and Al Ferri’s Triple F Stable have purchased an interest in 2009 Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I) hopeful Free Country from John Gerbas Jr.'s Silver Wing Stable.

Free Country, a son of Big Country out of Smyrna, by Wild Again, has won both of his starts at Churchill Downs and Gulfstream Park and is scheduled to make his stakes debut in the Sam F. Davis S. (gr. III) at Tampa Bay Downs Feb. 14.

"I have a great deal of respect for John Gerbas and his eye for young talent," said Richland Hills president Nathan Fox. "John is a friend and neighbor and has been raving about Free Country since the colt was a yearling. I am glad we were able to make a deal, and we look forward to an exciting 3-year-old campaign with this talented colt."
