Breeding Incentive to River Keen

A monetary incentive has been set up for breeders sending mares to River Keen.

A new incentive has been set up to reward breeders who bred their mares to Massachusetts stallion River Keen in 2009. Breeders who send their mares to River Keen, foal those mares in the state of Massachusetts in 2010, and subsequently register those foals as Massachusetts-breds, will become eligible for a $5,000 bonus, payable to the breeder of River Keen’s first winner of a Massachusetts-bred restricted stakes.

River Keen, a 17-year-old son of Keen out of Immediate Impact (by Caerleon), won two New York grade I stakes and a pair of grade II stakes in California. He has sired the earners of $1.2 million. He stands at Pine Nook Farm near South Deerfield.
