The Thoroughbred Racing Associations has announced Saratoga Springs, N.Y., as the host city for the 18th International Simulcast Conference. The 2009 conference will be held Oct. 12-14 at the Saratoga Hilton.
The TRA co-sponsors the conference with the Harness Tracks of America. Each year, the conference attracts more than 350 racing executives and personnel to address topics of chief importance to the pari-mutuel industry, including simulcasting, account wagering, wagering security, and technology.
The TRA is a non-profit trade association of North American racetracks formed in 1942 to serve as a unified and unifying voice for Thoroughbred racetrack owners and operators. The TRA currently has 49 member associations conducting racing at 42 tracks in the U.S. and Canada.
