Retired DRF Columnist Wally Wood Dead

Wally Wood reported on Canadian racing for Daily Racing Form.

Wally Wood, a retired columnist for Daily Racing Form, has died in Toronto, reported the Form. He was 76.

Wood started with the publication’s Toronto office in 1968. He covered racing at Woodbine, Fort Erie, and Greenwood and reported on major Canadian racing news. He retired in 1994.

Born in Portland, Ore., Wood was raised in England and served in the British Army. His survivors include three daughters.
