Mares in Foal to Spendthrift Stallions

Spendthrift Farm recently announced the first confirmed in-foal mares for all three of its new stallions for 2009 – Into Mischief , Notional and Tiz Wonderful.

Into Mischief, a grade I winner who retired sound with earnings of $597,080, has in-foal mares including Texas Punch, owned by Elm Tree Farm, and the Spendthrift-owned broodmares Secret of Mecca and Ma Guerre. A son of Harlan's Holiday, Into Mischief stands for $12,500.

Notional’s in-foal mares include the Spendthrift-owned broodmares Wendy’s Daughter, All for Fashion, and Sea Bloom. A multiple graded stakes winner of $733,240 and son of In Excess, Notional stands for $10,000.

Tiz Wonderful, an undefeated, multiple graded stakes-winning son of leading sire Tiznow , has in-foal mares including Stormy B, who is boarded at Elm Tree Farm, and the Spendthrift-owned broodmares Just a Wish and Shake Off. Tiz Wonderful stands for $12,500.
