HRRN Sets Derby Week Coverage Schedule

HRRN will offer more than 14 hours of Kentucky Derby week coverage.

The Horse Racing Radio Network will broadcast live from Churchill Downs beginning April 29 and provide 14 1/2 hours of Kentucky Derby week coverage.

As part of its Derby week schedule, HRRN will introduce the Derby Countdown Show, which will air live from 8-10:00 a.m. EDT April 29-May 1.  The show, hosted by Mike Penna, Sean Clancy, and Rolly Hoyt, will be conducted live from the backstretch at Churchill Downs and feature various guests including jockeys, trainers, Turf writers, and handicappers.

The Derby Countdown is presented by Jimmy John’s of Lexington.

HRRN also will showcase live coverage of the Kentucky Oaks May 1 beginning at 3:30 p.m., and return with two shows May 2: the Equine Forum at 8 a.m., and live coverage of the Derby day undercard stakes from 1-5:00 p.m.

The Derby week coverage can be heard on various HRRN affiliates and can be accessed worldwide with free live streaming at the HRRN Web site.
