ADW Content-Sharing Continues to Expand

ADWs are sharing more of their content.

TVG announced June 8 an agreement with TrackNet Media Group that allows its affiliated Web sites— and—to accept online wagers on TVG-exclusive racetracks.

The deal is yet another signifying cooperation among entities in the advance deposit wagering business. Earlier this year, TrackNet Media and TVG reached an agreement that allows TVG to take wagers on content even though it can’t show the races on television. and customers can now use their accounts to wager on races TVG-exclusive tracks including Los Alamitos, Turf Paradise, and Evangeline Downs Racetrack & Casino.

“Our exclusive tracks will now accept wagers from two of the other large ADWs in the United States, which is good for the overall health of the sport,” said Gerard Cunningham, president of Betfair US, which purchased TVG earlier this year. “Ensuring increased wagering handle for racetracks should result in larger race purses, which will encourage greater ownership and make the sport more engaging for bettors.”

TVG will remain the exclusive television broadcast company for races originating at all TVG-affiliated racetracks.

“We’re extremely pleased that TVG has agreed to extend the relationship between TrackNet and TVG to allow TwinSpires and XpressBet to facilitate wagers on TVG’s exclusive tracks,” TrackNet Media president Scott Daruty said in a statement. “The broader distribution now available to the racetracks covered by this agreement will be beneficial to the tracks, their horsemen, and racing fans across the country.”
