The Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund (PDJF) has launched its new Web site at

The PDJF was incorporated in 2006 as a collaborative effort of the racing industry to assist jockeys who had suffered irreversible disabling injuries on the track.

The organization, which is governed by an independent board of stakeholders from a broad cross section of the racing industry, is committed to finding a long term funding mechanism for these former athletes who have been met with misfortune.

The Web site contains information on the organization, its governing board and the PDJF’s mission. It also features information about past and future PDJF events, testimonials from prominent members of the racing industry, personal stories from those who have benefited from the organization, and accepts on-line donations.

There are currently 60 permanently disabled riders receiving financial assistance from the PDJF.
