'Jockeys' Second Season to Begin Aug. 21

Episodes have been lengthened to one hour for the new season on Animal Planet.

The second season of "Jockeys," the popular documentary-style television program that follows the lives of several Southern California riders, is set to begin Aug. 21 on Animal Planet.

Two new jockeys, Garrett Gomez and Corey Nakatani, join the program this season with six others returning from last year -- Chantal Sutherland, Mike Smith, Joe Talamo, Alex Solis, Kayla Stra and Aaron Gryder. The series follows their lives through the complex world of horse racing, both on the track and off.

Episodes this season have been expanded from 30 minutes to a full hour.

The premiere episode airs at 10 p.m. on both coasts. All subsequent shows will be broadcast on Fridays at 9 p.m.
