The Breeders’ Cup has announced that Moxie Equestrian, an equine equipment and apparel company, has been named an "Industry Champion" partner of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships, to be held Nov. 6-7 at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, Calif.

As a part of the agreement, Moxie will supply all horses participating in this year’s Breeders’ Cup with their Bodyguard scrim sheet, which will be worn by approximately 175 participating horses following workouts and exercise on the backstretch at Santa Anita Park during Breeders’ Cup week. Each blanket will be personalized with the name of the horse.

Moxie Bodyguards will also be worn by the winners of all Breeders’ Cup Challenge qualifying races in the US. The Breeders’ Cup Challenge is a global series of 63 stakes races held from July through October 23 in England, Ireland, France, Canada and the U.S., whose winners automatically earn qualifying berths into the World Championships.

In addition, Moxie will outfit each winner of a Breeders’ Cup World Championship race with its Techno-Sheet, which will be placed on each Breeders’ Cup champion prior to the winner’s circle ceremony.

"Moxie’s reputation for offering high quality equine apparel and products fits perfectly into our philosophy of providing the best in Thoroughbred racing," said Carter Carnegie, Breeders’ Cup senior vice president of Sponsorship. "

Moxie’s product line is a fantastic way for us to honor all the winners of Challenge Races and participants in the World Championships and recognize the accomplishments of these horses as being the best in our game."

"Breeders’ Cup has been known for impeccable standards, and excellence in the sport of Thoroughbred racing for twenty-five years, said Tammy Barber, president of Moxie Equestrian. Their level of passion for the sport is evident by their desire to source the most technically advanced coolers available for Breeder’s Cup horses. They are a welcomed partner and we are honored to be associated with their entire organization."
