Penn National, TVG Strike Deal on Content

Penn National Gaming Inc. and TVG have struck a deal on content.

TVG and Penn National Gaming Inc. have reached a two-year deal in which the network will broadcast and offer wagering on races from tracks owned by the company. TVG began broadcasting PNGI races Aug. 1.

Tracks involved are Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course in Pennsylvania, Charles Town Races & Slots in West Virginia, Zia Park in New Mexico, and two harness tracks, Bangor Raceway in Maine and Raceway Park in Ohio.

“We’re delighted to reach an agreement with Penn National Gaming that adds broadcast coverage and online wagering on racing from some of the country’s best tracks to the TVG portfolio,” Betfair president Gerard Cunningham said in a statement. “This agreement further indicates TVG's commitment to improving the overall health of the racing industry through arrangements that benefit the owners, tracks, and bettors.”

Charles Town recently announced extension of a deal with HRTV for broadcast of its races.
