When Dubai-based Synergy Investments purchased Fasig-Tipton last year, officials of the auction firm said that one of the company’s missions under its new ownership would be to bring in new participants to Thoroughbred racing. The initial recruiting effort, known as  the Fasig-Tipton Racing Club, will involve a broad-based program that will identify racing enthusiasts who have the potential and desire to become active owners.

“The Fasig-Tipton Racing Club will introduce its members to a variety of experiences that provide dynamic opportunities to enjoy the unique lifestyle this sport offers," said Fasig-Tipton president Boyd Browning.

Fasig-Tipton has hired Katy Moore, a graduate of the University of Arizona's Race Track Industry Program with seven years of experience in racing and breeding, to lead the new endeavor.

"It is exciting to have the resources of Fasig-Tipton behind a project with great potential for our industry,” Moore said. "It will be a full team effort and an opportunity to enhance the sport we love. We expect to enroll our first members at the beginning of 2010.”
