(Edited press release)

The New York Racing Association invites female racing fans to the fourth annual Women’s Day Expo at Saratoga Race Course, which will take place Aug. 19 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

During the Expo, women will have the opportunity to learn about professions in the equine industry at the Racing Vocations Table. Handicapper and sports writer Marion Altieri, as well as jockeys, trainers, and other professionals, will be on hand to share their experiences. Altieri has contributed to John Pricci’s HorseRaceInsider.com, Saratoga.com and Saratoga Today as a handicapper and Thoroughbred writer.

Women will also have the opportunity to peruse health and lifestyle-related products while enjoying live musical entertainment from Saratoga Soundtrack Women’s Chorus. Exhibits will be available throughout the day and are free with paid track admission. Appropriately, the day’s feature race is the $150,000 Adirondack Stakes (gr. II) for 2-year-old fillies.
