Sir Shackleton to Dana Point

Son of Miswaki set Gulfstream track record in grade II stakes

Multiple graded stakes winner Sir Shackletonwill stand in 2010 at Gayle Gerth’s Dana Point Farm near Lenhartsville, Pa. His fee will be $2,500.

A millionaire on the race track, Sir Shackleton was a stakes winner three consecutive years. His big win came in track-record time of 1:21.64 for seven furlongs in the 2005 Richter Scale Breeders’ Cup Sprint Championship Handicap (gr. II) at Gulfstream Park.

Sir Shackleton’s other stakes wins came in the 2004 West Virginia Derby (gr. III) at Mountaineer Park and the Derby Trial Stakes (gr. III) at Churchill Downs and the 2006 Super Stakes at Tampa Bay Downs.

Sir Shackleton (Miswaki--Naskra Colors, by Star de Naskra) formerly stood at Castleton Lyons (Shane Ryan, president) near Lexington. His first foals are yearlings.
