Champs Elysees to Banstead Manor

Son of Danehill is one of six major winners out of Hasili

Major winner Champs Elysees, a homebred for Khalid Abdullah’s Juddmonte Farms, will enter stud in 2010 at Abdullah’s Banstead Manor Stud near Newmarket, England. He is scheduled to make his final appearance in the Oct. 17 Pattison Canadian International (Can-IT), a race he finished third in last year. A fee will be announced later.

A stakes performer in North America and in Europe, 6-year-old Champs Elysees has won or placed in 20 of 27 races and earned $1,708,604. His two biggest wins have come in North America. In 2008, he won the Hollywood Turf Cup Stakes (gr. IT) and the Northern Dancer Turf Stakes Presented by VTech (Can-IT).

In Europe, Champs Elysees was a group winner in France and group  I-placed in Italy.

Bred in Great Britain, Champs Elysees is by Danehill out of 2006  English Broodmare of the Year Hasili (by Kahyasi).  Five of Hasili’s six stakes winner, all major performers, are by Danehill, including leading French sire Dansili and international champion Banks Hill.
