Groups hope money is raised via long drive to Breeders' Cup in California.

Edited release

The Paulick Report and Breeders’ Cup announced Oct. 26 a fundraising event for Breeders’ Cup Charities benefiting the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund and The V Foundation for Cancer Research.

The event will see Ray Paulick and Brad Cummings of Paulick Report drive from Lexington to the Breeders’ Cup host site, Santa Anita Park. The Breeders’ Cup is Nov. 6-7. The 2,835-mile trip will begin Oct. 28 and include stops at Keeneland, Hawthorne Race Course, Remington Park, Zia Park, and Turf Paradise, along with a stop at a Las Vegas casino.

Also supporting the drive is TVG, the horse racing television network and account wagering service. Gerard Cunningham, president of TVG-Betfair USA, believes the fund-raising drive will be well received by TVG’s TV audience viewers and community members.

Donors may sponsor by the mile or a flat rate. Donations may be made online through Breeders’ Cup Charities.
