Thoroughbred Charities of America (TCA) is now accepting grant applications for the 2010 grant cycle. Applications must be postmarked by April 1, 2010 to be considered. All applications will be reviewed by the TCA Board of Directors and disbursements will be made in June.
TCA will consider for grants organizations that work towards fulfilling the TCA’s mission of “providing a better life for Thoroughbreds, both during and after their racing careers by supporting retirement, rescue, and research and by helping the people who work with them.”
“We encourage Thoroughbred industry-related, non-profit organizations to submit a grant application,” said Erin Crady, executive director of TCA. “The funds raised at our annual Stallion Season Auction and donated by our generous supporters will assist many dedicated organizations as we distribute our grants this year.”
In 2009, TCA granted nearly $880,000 to 86 accredited charities. To obtain a grant application or learn more about TCA visit www.thoroughbredcharities.org.
