Stakes Winner Talent Search to Diamond B

Talented sprinter won or placed in 13 of 15 races and earned $603,360

Talent Search, a multiple stakes winner who placed in the 2007 TVG Breeders’ Cup Sprint (gr. I), will enter stud at Glen and Becky Brok’s Diamond B Farm near Mohrsville, Pa. The 7-year-old son of Catienus will stand for $2,500.

A succesful sprinter for owners Ken and Sarah Ramsey, Talent Search won or placed in 13 of 15 races and earned $603,360. Six of those races were wins.

Talent Search, who won at 2, proved extra tough as an older runner. In 2007, he won the Teddy Drone and Jim McKay Stakes, and placed in three consecutive grade I stakes. He started the streak with a runner-up effort to Fabulous Strike in the Vosburgh Stakes at Belmont Park and then ran third in the TVG Breeders’ Cup Sprint to Midnight Lute  and Idiot Proof at Monmouth Park.In his next start, he finished second to Benny the Bull in the Frank J. De Francis Memorial Dash Stakes at Laurel. Earlier in the year, Talent Search placed in the Emirates Airline Maryland Sprint Handicap (gr. III).

Bred by the Ramseys, Talent Search is out of the stakes-placed Dixieland Band mare Mrs. K. and is a half-brother to three stakes winners, including Irish champion Port Bayou.

Talent Search is owned by the Ramseys, who stand Catienus at Joe and Anne McMahon’s McMahon of Saratoga Thoroughbreds near Saratoga Springs, N.Y.
