No Live Racing Until Feb. 17 at Penn National

Track needs to clean up after massive snowstorms in Central Pennsylvania.

(Edited press release)

Live racing has been cancelled at Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course until Feb. 17 because of the recent massive snowstorms that hit Central Pennsylvania.

The track lost all live four racing cards this week after more than 15 inches of snow fell from the afternoon of Feb. 9 through the night of Feb. 10. This was on top of the 20 inches that covered the area the previous weekend.

"Our efforts right now are on cleaning things up in the barn area and working on taking the snow off the racetrack, " said Penn National director of racing Rob Marella. "Our track maintenance crew is working around the clock to get these things accomplished so our horsemen can get back on their
training schedule."

Full-card simulcasting will continue to be available at Hollywood Casino on a daily basis.
