Forefathers, a grade II stakes-placed half-brother to grade I winner Pioneerof the Nile , will stand his first season at Jay Adcock’s Red River Farms near Coushatta, La. His fee is $2,000.

A $680,000 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga select sale yearling, 6-year-old Forefathers won or placed in nine of 20 races and earned $200,252 for Ahmed Zayat’s Zayat Stables. He recorded multiple triple-digit Beyer Speed Figures.

Forefathers won twice at 2. Later on, he ran second in the Jerome Handicap (gr. II) and the Swale (gr. II) and Bergen County Stakes and was third in the Bold Ruler Handicap (gr. III).

By Gone West, Forefathers is out of the stakes-winning Lord At War mare Star of Goshen, a half-sister to grade II winner Powis Castle.
