The Washington Thoroughbred Breeders and Owners Association is combining its annual summer yearling sale with its former December mixed sale to create a one-day WTBOA summer yearling and mixed sale event this year.
The sale will be held Tuesday, Sept. 7, the day after Labor Day, which is the regular annual date of the summer yearling sale.
The event, which also will feature a pre-sales seminar, will again be held at the Morris J. Alhadeff Sales Pavilion and WTBOA offices located at Emerald Downs in Auburn.
This year's sale will consist of two sessions. The first session will showcase the top pedigrees of many of the best yearlings from the Pacific Northwest. It will be followed by the mixed portion, which will offer a variety of additional yearlings, weanlings, broodmares, stallions, horses of racing age and stallion shares, depending on entries, which closes May 17.
