Woodbine Announces TV Programming Hosts

"Bet Night Live" is directed at newcomers to horse racing.

Woodbine Entertainment Group has announced the hosts for its redesigned TV programming offerings in 2010.

"Bet Night Live," a program focusing on the wagering component of racing, will launch on Monday, May 31 for Standardbred racing and Wednesday, June 2 for Thoroughbred racing, according to a WEG release.

WEG said the two-hour programs, to air on The Score, are aimed at newcomers to the sport and "allow them to immediately experience the excitement and anticipation of horse racing and the thrill of winning."

Chad Rozema, Sandy Hawley, and analyst Jim Bannon will be joined by The Score’s Laura Diakun for "Bet Night Live" for Thoroughbred racing from 7-9 p.m. Wednesdays.

On Mondays from 7-9 p.m., Rozema, Hawley, Diakun, and analyst Greg Blanchard will host the Standardbred version of the program.

The daily simulcast shows are hosted by Chris Hickey and Mike Hamilton (Standardbred) and Jeff Bratt and Renee Kierans (Thoroughbred side). The simulcasts are available on HPItv, Pay-Per-View (PPV) via digital cable, and at all tracks and Champions teletheaters.
