Wicked Style to Stud at Oaklands in Australia

Son of Macho Uno won the Lane's End Breeders' Futurity at Keeneland

Wicked Style, a leading 2-year-old of 2007, has been acquired by Australian nursery Oaklands Stud. The 5-year-old son of Macho Uno  will stand at Oaklands at Umbiram on Queensland’s Darling Downs.

Campaigned by Glenn Bromagen’s Ashbrook Farm, Wicked Style was an Eclipse Award contender after winning his first three starts, including the Lane’s End Breeders’ Futurity (gr. I) at Keeneland and the Arlington-Washington Futurity (gr. III). His championship threat ended after he ran unplaced in the Bessemer Trust Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (gr. I).

Wicked Style raced until age 5 and retired with five wins and four placings from 17 starts and earnings of $572,927. As a 4-year-old, he was twice graded stakes-placed.

Frank Stronach’s Adena Springs is the breeder of Florida-bred Wicked Style, who was produced from the stakes-placed Trempolino mare Deviletta.
