TVG, Oak Tree in Sponsorship Arrangement

Television network is title sponsor of Lady's Secret and Clement L. Hirsch Stakes.

TVG announced Sept. 9 that it has been designated exclusive TV partner of the 2010 Oak Tree at Hollywood Park race meet and title sponsor of two of the meet’s premier events--the Lady’s Secret Stakes and Clement L. Hirsch Turf Championship, both grade I.

The Lady’s Secret Stakes, Presented by TVG, is expected to feature undefeated Zenyatta in her final race prior to her anticipated attempt at back-to-back victories in the Breeders’ Cup Classic (gr. I). It will be run Oct. 2, while the Clement L. Hirsch Turf Championship, Presented by TVG, will be run the following day.

The Oak Tree meet, which will be run at Hollywood Park for the first time after being hosted by Santa Anita Park from 1969 through 2009, begins Sept. 30 and concludes Oct. 31,

"With Zenyatta saying goodbye to her California followers, and the meet featuring eight Breeders’ Cup Challenge Races, we are confident racing fans are in for a special treat. It is our privilege to be the only TV outlet delivering all the action as it unfolds," TVG CEO Stephen Burn said in a release.

"When Oak Tree racing fans can’t make it out to the track at Hollywood Park, they’ll be in good hands via TVG’s excellent broadcast coverage of our races," said Sherwood Chillingworth, Oak Tree Racing Association’s executive vice president.

In addition to the TVG sponsored Lady’s Secret and Clement Hirsch, the meet will feature five other grade I stakes--Yellow Ribbon, Goodwood, Norfolk, Oak Leaf, and Ancient Title.
