Jackie Kintz, Raced Lady Belsara, Dies

Jacqueline "Jackie" Kintz raced graded stakes winner Lady Belsara.

Jacqueline “Jackie” Kintz, who raced graded stakes winner Lady Belsara in partnership, died Sept. 3 of complications from lung cancer. She was 63.

Trained by Kintz’ stepson, Scott Kintz, Lady Belsara was bred, raised, and raced by members of the Kintz family and partners. Bred in the name Bronze Bell Farm and Partners, and raced by At the Moment Stables, Lady Belsara won the 2007 Chicago Handicap (gr. III) and the 2008 Wishing Well Stakes and set two track records.

Jackie Kintz worked for Viking Stud, located near Paris, Ky., and for Bob Hubbard Horse Transportation.
In addition to her stepson, Kintz is survived by her husband, Steve, and three other children.
