Da' Tara Selling at Keeneland

Da' Tara beat champion Big Brown in the 2008 Belmont Stakes (gr. I).

Da' Tara, the only horse to beat Big Brown , is selling as a racing or stallion prospect at the Keeneland November breeding stock sale.

Racing for Robert V. LaPenta, Da’ Tara deprived Big Brown of a Triple Crown sweep when he won the 2008 Belmont Stakes (gr. I) in front-running fashion. Big Brown, the subsequent champion 3-year-old male, was pulled up during the race.

Trained by Nick Zito, 5-year-old Da’ Tara has won or placed in 10 of 19 races and earned $743,090. The son of Tiznow  hasn’t raced since November 2009.

WinStar Farm is the breeder of Kentucky-bred Da’ Tara, whose dam, stakes-placed Torchera (by Pirate’s Bounty), is a full sister to grade I winner Private Persuasion.

Da’ Tara, who will sell as hip 3308, is consigned by Lane’s End, agent.
