Grade II winner Love of Money came through with his first winner when his son Bumpy Road came from behind to win at Laurel Oct. 14. A homebred for Phil Capuano and trained by son Gary, Bumpy Road got up to score by a half-length in 1:12.87 for the six furlongs (VIDEO).
Bumpy Road, a Maryland-bred, is out of the stakes-winning Silver Badge mare Silver Tango and is a half-brother to stakes winners Dale’s Prospect and Our Commander and the stakes-placed dam of grade I winner Visionaire.
Winner of the Pennsylvania Derby (gr. II), Love of Money (Not For Love—Mescalina, by Smarten) stands at Northview PA near Peach Bottom, Pa. His 2010 fee was $2,500.
