The stud fee for Pollard's Vision , the sire of multiple grade I winner Blind Luck, will be increased to $12,500 for 2011, according to the Wintergreen Stallion Station website. Pollard’s Vision stood for $10,000 in 2010.
Blind Luck has won the Kentucky Oaks, Alabama Stakes, and Las Virgenes, all grade I stakes, this year, as well as the Fantasy Stakes and Delaware Oaks, both grade II.
A son of Carson City who won the Illinois (gr. II) and Lone Star (gr. III) derbys, Pollard’s Vision has sired 50 individual winners in his first two crops to race.
The Midway, Ky. farm also announced that the fees for other stallions will remain unchanged. Borrego will continue to stand for $10,000 and Elite Squadron and Five Star Day for $5,000 each. Neko Bay, who is entering stud in 2011 at Wintergreen, will have an inaugural fee of $7,500.
