Blind Luck, winner of the Kentucky Oaks (gr. I), was made the 9-5 favorite for the Nov. 5 Breeders' Cup Ladies' Classic (gr. I). The $2 million, 1 1/8-mile race closes out the opening day Breeders' Cup program at Churchill Downs.
Trainer Jerry Hollendorfer will be bringing Blind Luck on a sixth road trip of the season, and the 3-year-old daughter of Pollard's Vision has been up to the task. She returns to Churchill Downs, the scene of her thrilling victory earlier this year in the Kentucky Oaks (gr. I).
"We're pleased to have the chance to run in this race," Hollendorfer noted. "This filly likes this track, likes the dirt, and always gives a good effort. I"m not unhappy with the post; I'd rather be there than inside. We're happy to walk over there as the favorite."
Todd Pletcher, whose Life At Ten did, in fact, draw the inside, said, "Life At Ten ran well stalking the pace from the rail in the Beldame. Sometimes you can get a good trip from a bad post, so you hope for the best."
