International Sound Buys Teleview Racing

Both companies specialize in broadcast services to tracks.

Teleview Racing Patrol Inc., a Florida-based company specializing in broadcast television production, photo-finish, and timing systems for horse and dog tracks, has been acquired by International Sound Corp.

International Sound provides broadcast services, simulcast systems, public address, and security and surveillance systems to racing entities. Among the company’s clients are Churchill Downs, Pimlico Race Course, Belmont Park, Del Mar, Saratoga, and Monmouth Park, according to a Jan. 7 release.

Among the 50 tracks utilizing Teleview’s services are Gulfstream Park, Oaklawn Park, and Penn National Gaming Inc. properties.

"This is a very important step in International Sound’s goal to improve our services and expand our presence in the racing industry," said International Sound president Harold Snyder. "We are excited that our customer base will now grow across the United States and enjoy new technologies, an enhanced quality of production, and an overall better customer experience."
