Jockey’s Dream, a group I winner in his native Brazil, is standing his first season at stud at Star Barn Thoroughbreds near Grantville, Pa. The son of Spend a Buck was test bred to a few mares last breeding season.
Foaled in 1999, Jockey’s Dream finished first or second in four group stakes in Brazil, three of which were group I. He captured the group I Grande Premio Jockey Club Brasileiro. Jockey’s Dream, who also raced in North America, won or placed in 15 of 27 starts during his career.
Jockey’s Dream is bred similarly to Brazilian-bred Einstein, a multiple grade I winner in the United States. Both are by Spend a Buck and have the same broodmare sire, Ghadeer. Plus, their second dams are by Waldmeister.
Jockey’s Dream, out of Dandy Pat and a full brother to Brazilian champion Investor’s Dream, stands for a private treaty, with special consideration to approved mares.
