Race 2: Al Quoz Sprint (UAE-II) sponsored by Emirates NBD
About 5 Fur. on the Turf
$1,000,000 for Northern Hemisphere and Southern Hemisphere 3YO & Up

This race will be run down the straightaway of the turf course with the low-number post positions being farthest away from the grandstand.  J J THE JET PLANE (by Jet Master) returned to form after his debacle on the main track two starts back. Last out, he broke from post 1 and wound up racing on the outer rail but still won easily. He gets a major weight shift in his favor and draws perfectly. STRADIVINSKY (Stravinsky) ships in for Rick Dutrow who won his first two starts here three years ago. Returned to the races here last out and won a five-furlong sprint at Gulfstream Park in fast time. MAR ADENTRO (Marju) ran well at Longchamp last October in a group I going this distance when he was ridden by Christophe Soumillon.

Race 3: Godolphin Mile (UAE-II) sponsored by Etisalat
About 1 Mile on the (Tapeta) main track
$1,000,000 for Northern Hemisphere 4 & Up and Southern Hemisphere 3 & Up

This race will start out of a chute down the backstretch and will be run around one turn. IMBONGI (Russian Revival) was third in a group I stakes here last year on the turf but has found a home on the main track with two solid efforts going this distance. He draws perfectly and he has the look of a horse that has been brought forward for a top effort by Mike de Kock. SKYSURFERS (E Dubai) drew a terrible post after running great here last out beating MUSIR going a mile in fast time. Frankie will have to use him early to keep from being hung out wide the whole trip. CONVEYANCE (Indian Charlie) showed great speed here last out going six furlongs in good time and should be able to be forwardly placed from the inside stretching out to a mile.

Race 4: UAE Derby (UAE-II) sponsored by the Saeed & Mohammed al Naboodah Group

About 1 3/16 Mi. on the (Tapeta) main track
$2,000,000 for Northern Hemisphere and Southern Hemisphere 3YO

This race will be run on the main track around two turns with a short run into the first turn. This year’s renewal is impossible to handicap with a big field that is deep, talented and evenly matched. MAHBOOBA (Galileo) won going a mile here two starts back then ran into traffic problems at course and distance. She looks like she will excel at the distance but she will have to settle better than she did last out in the U.A.E. Oaks (UAE-III). SPLASH POINT (Street Cry) should get better stretching out in distance. He won the 2,000 Guineas (UAE-III) last out going a mile from post 11 and draws well today for Al Zarooni. REEM (Galileo) was a fantastic second behind RIVER JETEZ two starts back going nine furlongs on the turf in very fast time then came back here to win a prep going this distance.

#1     REEM

Race 5: Dubai Golden Shaheen (UAE-I) sponsored by Gulf News
About 6 Fur. on the (Tapeta) main track
$2,000,000 for Northern Hemisphere and Southern Hemisphere 3 & Up

This race will be run around one turn on the main track. ROCKET MAN (Viscount) ships in from Singapore off an easy win on the all-weather track in Kranji. He just missed in this race last year and should be tough to beat even from the outside post. KINSALE KING (Yankee Victor) is the defending champ and has done nothing wrong coming back here. He was a good winner on the Tapeta at Golden Gate last out to prep for this but will have to be used from the rail. DIM SUM (Kyllachy) is an unknown factor on the Tapeta but he beat SACRED KINGDOM last out in Hong Kong in a group one and draws well here with Darren Beadman.

#2    DIM SUM

Race 6: The Dubai Duty Free (UAE-I) sponsored by Dubai Duty Free

About 1 1/8 Mi. on the Turf
$5,000,000 for Northern Hemisphere 4 & Up and Southern Hemisphere 3 & Up

This race will be run around one turn on the turf course with a long run into the far turn. RAIHANA (Elusive Quality) draws an impossible post but she gets Christophe Soumillon back in the irons. Her best race this year was going this distance in fast time and was stuck behind a slow pace last out going a mile. BEAUTY FLASH (Golan) ships in from Hong Kong where he has won three straight group I stakes. He draws inside and his trainer, Tony Cruz, is as good as it gets. Gerald Mosse returns in the irons. BANKABLE (Medicean) might not be able to win this but he’ll be rallying late to get in the money like he did last year. Has prepped on the Tapeta for this.

#16     RAIHANA
#9       BANKABLE

Race 7:  Dubai Sheema Classic (UAE-I) sponsored by China Guangsha

About 1 ½ Mi. on the Turf
$5,000,000 for Northern Hemisphere 4 & Up and Southern Hemisphere 3 & Up

This race will be run around two turns on the turf course with a long run into the first turn. RULERSHIP (King Kamehameha) looks like he does his best running at 10 furlongs but should get the trip here in a race that should have a soft pace. His race two starts back in the Arima Kinen (G1) was better than it looked and he prepped for this with a good win. He’s raced well behind BUENA VISTA who would be even-money in here. CALVADOS BLUES (Lando) was a good second behind MONTEROSSO who would be my pick here if he did not go to the Dubai World Cup instead. Was a sharp winner two starts back over the course and you always have to respect the Al Zarooni horses going long. REWILDING (Tiger Hill) won a group II going this distance last year and was a good third behind WORKFORCE in the Epsom Derby (Eng-I). Stable sounds very confident and Frankie returns.

Race 8: Dubai World Cup (UAE-I) sponsored by Emirates Airline
About 1 1/4 Mi. on the (Tapeta) main track
$10,000,000 Northern Hemisphere 4 & Up and Southern Hemisphere 3 & Up

This race will be run around two turns on the main track with a good run into the first turn. VICTOIRE PISA (Neo Universe) was a terrific 3-year-old in Japan last year and is undefeated going 10 furlongs. Finished ahead of BUENA VISTA when he got the jump on her two starts back and then prepped for this four weeks ago with a huge win going nine furlongs in fast time. He draws perfectly and should get first jump on the deep closers. MUSIR (Redoute's Choice) loved this track last year as a 3-year-old and has had two prep races for this. He’s been carefully ridden in both starts and draws well. Since winning the UAE Derby last year, this has been his goal. MONTEROSSO (Dubawi) could be the lone speed if Barzalona sends him from the inside. There is not much pace in here and this guy, with the shadow roll added, could be very hard to run down if ridden aggressively. He’s won on all-weather tracks before when sent to the lead.

#7    MUSIR
