Partner's Hero to Castle Rock in Pennsylvania

Son of Danzig moved back to Castle Rock it was announced April 8.

Graded stakes winner and established sire Partner's Hero has rejoined the stallion roster at the Giangiulio family's Castle Rock Farm, in Unionville, Pa. He had been standing at Northview Pennsylvania.

A son of Danzig, Partner's Hero has been one of the most consistent sires in the region. He has had progeny earnings of more than $1 million for each of the past eight seasons, with total progeny earnings in excess of $17 million. The sire of 18 stakes winners and 15 stakes-placed runners from nine crops to race, Partner's Hero has been represented by millionaire and multiple graded stakes winner Heros Reward, as well as graded stakes winners New York Hero, Love Match, and Private Chef.
His runners in 2010 included Maryland Million Turf Stakes winner Pocket Patch.
Partner's Hero won the Kentucky Cup Sprint (gr. II) at 3, and equaled Turfway Park's six-furlong track record of 1:08.30 during his 4-year-old season. A five-time stakes winner with earnings of $554,731 in 33 starts, Partner's Hero was graded stakes-placed in each of his three years of competition, including seconds in the Iroquois (gr. III) and the Jersey Shore Breeders' Cup (gr. III) and thirds in the Frank J. De Francis Memorial Dash, Commonwealth Breeders' Cup, and Tom Fool Handicap (all gr. II)
A half brother to champion sprinter and 2011 Hall of Fame finalist Safely Kept, Partner's Hero is out of the Winning Hit mare Safely Home, who produced eight winners from 11 foals to race, including stakes-placed Safe At the Plate and Safe On Second, and is the granddam of graded stakes winner and 2011 Kentucky Derby (gr. I) hopeful Santiva.
