OBS Spring Sale Kicks Off April 18 in Florida

There are 1,377 2-year-olds in training in its catalog.

The Ocala Breeders’ Sales Co. spring sale of 2-year-olds in training starts its four-day run April 18 in Central Florida. There are 1,377 horses cataloged for what is the largest juvenile auction in North America.

Each session will begin at 10:30 a.m. and will be streamed live on the OBS website (www.obssales.com).

A filly by Yonaguska and a colt by Macho Uno  each worked a quarter mile in :20 2/5, which was the fastest time for that distance during the auction’s under tack show.

The Yonaguska filly, named Cameo Lady, is out of the Kings Fiction mare Kings Empress. She is consigned by Hoppel’s Horse and Cattle Co., agent. Offered by de Meric Sales, agent, the Macho Uno colt is out of La Defense (by Wild Again) and is a half brother to stakes winner Quelle Surprise.
An Indian Charlie filly and a Half Ours  colt shared honors for the under tack show’s fastest work at an eighth of a mile, each posting a time of :9 4/5.

The Indian Charlie filly is consigned by Hoppel’s Horse and Cattle Co., agent. She is out of graded stakes-placed Wawota (by Glitterman). Consigned by Constanzo Sales, the Half Ours colt is out of Piney Woods (by Valid Appeal). He is a half brother to stakes-placed My Limit.

An Orientate colt and a The Daddy filly were the quickest at three-eighths of a mile, both stopping the clock in :33 1/5. Consigned by All In Sales, agent, the Orientate colt is out of stakes winner Trisha Runs (by Sharkey). The filly by The Daddy, named Daddy’s Jewel, is consigned by Blue River Bloodstock, agent. She is out of Jewelberry (by Gold Case).
