Daaher's First Winner Scores at Keeneland

Gypsy Robin scores by 7 1/2 lengths at Keeneland in first start.

Grade I winner and first-crop stallion Daaher  sired his first winner when his daughter Gypsy Robin scored at Keeneland April 22.

Making her first start, Gypsy Robin set the pace and drew off to win the 4 1/2-furlong race by 7 1/2 lengths in :50.34 (VIDEO). She races for her trainer, Wesley A. Ward, and Gatewood Bell.

Bred in Kentucky by Cloyce C. Clark Jr., Gypsy Robin is one of five foals from Daaher’s initial crop and is the second winner from three foals produced from the stakes-winning Indian Charlie mare Fiesty Princess. Fiesty Princess died in 2009.

Daaher, who raced for Sheikh Hamdan in the name Shadwell Stable, won the Jerome Handicap (gr. II) and the Hill ‘n’ Dale Cigar Mile Handicap (gr. I) in consecutive starts and ran third in the Prince of Wales Stakes at Fort Erie.

Daaher (Awesome Again —Irish Cherry, by Irish Open) stands for $7,500 at Shadwell Farm near Lexington.
