The Keeneland Association has announced it will launch an advanced deposit wagering system this fall.
The ADW platform, which will be developed through TwinSpires.com, will allow wagering on the Keeneland spring and fall meets, as well as throughout the year on other tracks.
“After much thought and deliberation, we elected to move forward with launching our own ADW because we are committed to catering to our fans and providing them the services they want in a way that is convenient for them,” said Keeneland president and CEO Nick Nicholson in a statement. “In addition, it will allow us to boost our purses and reinvest in our industry.”
“The entire team at TwinSpires.com is excited to be working with Keeneland Association on the development of a Keeneland-branded account-wagering platform,” said Happy Broadbent, vice president and general manager of the TwinSpires.com Service Center in Lexington, Ky. “TwinSpires.com has invested in the technology and customer support services necessary to provide Keeneland with a turn-key solution for launching its own online betting site with the look and feel of one of the most respected brands in horse racing.”
