When early wagering on the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I) began May 6, Florida Derby (gr. I) winner Dialed In was listed at 3-1odds.
The wagering began about an hour after it was officially announced that Uncle Mo , the 2010 juvenile champion, had been scratched from the May 7 race at Churchill Downs. Uncle Mo, who had been entered in the Derby, has been recovering from a gastro-intestinal tract infection.
Second early in the betting at 7-1 is Nehro followed by Twice the Appeal and Pants On Fire, who are both 10-1. The odds on Twice the Appeal, who is being ridden by three-time Derby winner Calvin Borel, has dropped significantly from his morning line odds of 20-1.
