TOBA to Hold Breeding Clinic in Lexington

The clinic will take place June 3-June 5 and will visit several local farms.

The Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association announced May 26 that it will hold a Thoroughbred Breeding Clinic Friday, June 3 through Sunday, June 5 in Lexington. 

The clinic, sponsored by Blood-Horse Publications, will offer topics including planning a mating, conformation, foal registration, equine nutrition, pasture management, and foaling and farm management. The clinic features visits to Lane’s End Farm, December Farm, Hopewell Farm, and Kentucky Equine Research.

The clinic will begin at 8 a.m. on Friday, June 3 at Blood-Horse Publications in Lexington. The registration fee for the clinic is $337.50 for TOBA members and $550 for non-members and includes all support materials, breakfast, and lunch. The TOBA member rate reflects a significantly discounted rate in honor of the 50th anniversary of the organization. Throughout 2011 TOBA will extend discounted rates on seminars and clinics to its members.
