Belmont Stakes Programming on TVG

Horse racing network will air post-Belmont Stakes show.

TVG has released its schedule of special Belmont Stakes (gr. I) programming, much of it from New York’s Belmont Park on June 10-11.

The coverage kicks off Friday, June 10, with a live Belmont Stakes edition of “Blinkers’ Off,” airing from 11:30 a.m.-noon EDT. Hosted by Matt Carothers from the TVG studios in Los Angeles, the show will feature Todd Schrupp at Belmont Park. Following that program, Paul Lo Duca will join Schrupp to provide coverage of the day’s complete Belmont Park racing program.

Concluding the Friday schedule, TVG will air a one-hour “Belmont Pick 6 Central,” starting at 8:30 p.m. EDT. The show will include Ken Rudulph, Simon Bray and Ron Ellis from Hollywood Park in Los Angeles with reports from Schrupp and Lo Duca in New York. The show will re-air Friday night and Saturday morning.

Schrupp and Lo Duca return to Belmont for live coverage of the June 11 races, excluding the Belmont Stakes itself, but including five graded stakes, among them the TVG Acorn (gr. I). The NBC network will air the Belmont.

TVG’s Belmont Stake programming will conclude with a 30-minute “Belmont Stakes Wrap-Up” show that follows the conclusion of NBC’s coverage of the race (approximately 7 p.m. EDT). That show will be hosted at Hollywood Park with Schrupp reporting from New York.
