This year is the 300th year of Royal Ascot, a premier five-day race meet held June 14-18 at Ascot Racecourse and a major event on the British social calendar. A partnership between BloodHorse.com and Thorough Media will take you up close and personal with the who’s who of the Thoroughbred world and provide a unique insight on news and Thoroughbred racings feel good stories. Thorough Media will be trackside to bring you all the news and excitement direct from the key players in what promises to be five days to remember with the likes of So you Think, Goldikova, Frankel, Canford Cliffs and of course all of the international raiders seeking their write their names into equine history.
You can see the first videos now, including an announcement June 10 that Australian superstar sprinter Black Caviar will be aiming toward Royal Ascot next year. The 5-year-old daughter of Bel Esprit—Helsinge is undefeated in 13 starts, including six group I races. Black Caviar was rated by Timeform as the world’s best sprinter.
