Amy Bunt has been named the membership and education coordinator at the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association.
Bunt, a summa cum laude graduate of Virginia Tech, joins TOBA after working as a sales coordinator for two major Thoroughbred sales companies. She also worked as a veterinary technician at Hagyard Davidson McGee Equine Medical Institute and for Coolmore Australia.
Bunt will be responsible for coordinating the association’s clinics and seminars that are held throughout the year and across the country. She will also be responsible for membership services and retention. Additionally, she will assist with the annual TOBA National Awards Dinner held each September.
“We are very pleased that Amy has joined our staff and her experience working at the public auctions will benefit the organization’s efforts with membership services and our clinics,” said Dan Metzger, president of TOBA, in a statement.
“I have always enjoyed meeting the great people that make up the Thoroughbred industry while working at the sales,” said Bunt in a release. “Working membership services at TOBA will afford me the opportunity to not only continue to meet a broader range of industry people, but also to help recruit new owners. I am delighted to be working with such an exceptional group of people.”
