Nine Regional Emmy Awards for HRTV

Seven awards presented for "Inside Information" programs.

HRTV was honored with nine 2011 Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Awards at the 47th annual Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Award ceremony July 30 in Louisville.

HRTV received Emmy Awards in seven separate categories, with the monthly “Inside Information” documentary show accounting for seven Emmys, all for individual episodes.
In two categories, HRTV received more than one nomination and it accepted two awards.

The winning submissions were:
--Human Interest Program: “Inside Information: Randy Romero.”
--Sports Program Feature Segment: “Inside Information: Joe Torre, Safe at Home.”
-- Sports One-Time Special (two winners): “Inside Information: Well Armed” and “Inside Information: Tevis Cup.”
--Nostalgia Program (two winners): “Inside Information: 31 Lengths, The Lives of Secretariat: Penny Chenery” and “Inside Information: 31 Lengths, The Lives of Secretariat: Ron Turcotte”
--Writer-Program:  Amy Zimmerman for “Swale”
--Photographer-Program: Jose “Chile” Ibarra for a composite of work
--Editor - Program: Steve Scheidler for a composite of work
