Queen'splatekitten Scratched From Breeders'

Favorite in third leg of Canadian Triple Crown scratched from Aug. 7 race.

Queen'splatekitten, the 3-1 morning line favorite in the $500,000 Breeders' Stakes, the third leg of Canada's Triple Crown Aug. 7 at Woodbine, has been scratched from the race.

Trainer Todd Pletcher said he is not completely happy with how Queens'platekitten, who was prepping for the Breeders’ at Saratoga, is doing at this time, according to the Daily Racing Form.
With Queen'splatekitten now out, 7-2 morning-line choice Pender Harbour will likely be the post time favorite. The Mike DePaulo trainee captured the Prince of Wales Stakes at Fort Erie, the second leg in the Canadian Triple Crown series, in his most recent effort.
The 121st running of the Breeders’, for Canadian-foaled 3-year-olds over 1 1/2 miles on the E.P. Taylor Turf Course, will go to post at 5:08 pm EDT.
