Ted's Folly Is First Winner for Wild Tale

The colt captures a five-furlong maiden event at Remington Park.

Wild Tale was represented by his first winner as a stallion when his 2-year-old son, Ted’s Folly, cruised by 4 ½ lengths in a five-furlong maiden-special-weight race at Remington Park Aug. 18 (VIDEO).

Bred in Oklahoma by Harmony Stable and owned by Steve Martin, Ted’s Folly won in his third career race and turned in a time of :58.28. He is out of the Sword Dance mare Tricksword.

Wild Tale, who is by Tale of the Cat , died in 2009 at the age of 8. Produced from the Wild Again mare Young and Wild, he scored in the 2005 Harvey Arneault Memorial Breeders’ Cup Handicap in West Virginia. His other efforts included a third-place finish in the 2005 Phoenix Breeders’ Cup Stakes (gr. III).

Wild Tale stood at Mighty Acres in Oklahoma. He captured seven of his 30 career races and earned $333,030.
