Everyday Heroes to Stand in New Mexico

Grade III winner is retired and headed to South Springs Stallion Station.

Grade III stakes winner Everyday Heroes has been retired from racing and will enter stud at Dr. Kevin Blach’s South Springs Stallion Station in Roswell, N.M.

Everyday Heroes, a 5-year-old Kentucky-bred horse by Awesome Again  out of the Dayjur mare Lucette, won the first four starts of his career in 2009. He capped off that run with an easy victory that threatened the track record in the six-furlong Hirsch Jacobs Stakes (gr. III) at Pimlico Race Course.

He also won the John B. Moseley Stakes at Suffolk Downs in 2010, and in 2011 raced in the United Arab Emirates for Godolphin.

Lucette is a half sister to Baby Zip, who produced champion Ghostzapper  and City Zip, both stallions.

Everyday Heroes retires with five wins in 13 starts for earnings of $240,500. His introductory stud fee is $1,500.
