Wild Desert Sires First Winner

Wild Desert's first winner, Chief Wild Eagle, scored at Delaware Park.

Wild Desert, winner of the 2005 Queen’s Plate Stakes, sired his first winner when his 2-year-old son Chief Wild Eagle won at Delaware Park Aug. 31. Campaigned as a homebred by a partnership that includes Sanford Goldfarb and Michael Dubb, Chief Wild Eagle won the six-furlong race by 2 1/4 lengths in 1:12.47 (VIDEO) .

A New York-bred, Chief Wild Eagle is the first offspring out of the winning Beau Genius mare Bella Bolchina, who is out of stakes winner Bolchina.

Wild Desert (Wild Rush—Desert Radiance, by Desert Wine) stands at Unbridled Racing Stable near Greenville, N.Y. His 2011 fee was $3,000.
