Blind Luck Works Four Furlongs at Hollywood

It was the first work for the champion filly in more than three weeks.

Blind Luck recorded her first work in more than three weeks Sept. 8 at Hollywood Park, clocking four furlongs in :47 2/5.

The speedy move was the second fastest of 17 at the distance. The 4-year-old daughter of Pollard's Vision  had not recorded an official work since Aug. 17, though co-owner and trainer Jerry Hollendorfer said she had been at the track every morning. Hollendorfer said he wanted to wait until Blind Luck arrived at Hollywood for the work since she did not care for the Polytrack at Del Mar.
Earlier in the week Hollendorfer said the six-time grade I winner and earner of more than $3.2 million was on schedule to make her next start Oct. 1—either in the Lady’s Secret (gr. I) at Santa Anita or Beldame (gr. I) at Belmont.
In her most recent race, Blind Luck defeated rival Havre de Grace by a nose.
